In a world where magic is real the apocalypse begins with a TV announcement. Luke Quinn is twenty-six, broke, and a disappointment to everyone, himself most of all. Once a promising med student, he’s now slinging burgers and nursing guilt over the sister he couldn’t save. But everything changes when an impossible broadcast interrupts every screen on Earth, announcing the start of a “System Integration” and inviting humanity to touch mysterious orbs appearing in every city. Monsters. Magic. Classes. Stats. Earth is no longer just a planet, it’s part of a larger system. With nothing left to lose, Luke takes the plunge and becomes something vanishingly rare: a healer. But this isn’t a game. Healing takes more than mana. It takes nerve, precision, and pain. Especially when every touch could mean life or death. Now Luke must master his strange, intricate Lifeweaver powers while navigating deadly tutorials, volatile teammates, and a world that’s unraveling fast. Because in this new system? Weakness gets you killed, and being a healer is the hardest class of all. Release schedule: Mo-Wed-Fri. Sadly, since it's not tagged in any form, most of what sticks in memory is that it's AI narrated.

Now, it's surprisingly consistent and good to understand, I didn't notice artifacting, though who knows how AI manages to _not_ have consistent level, but seriously don't let me guess for a dozen chapters and just acknowledge it in the description.

I'm not even against AI narration - this is probably the best positive example for how generative AI can help, just make it clear.

The most problematic parts of this specific narration, and the main reason for the low rating, is that there are no distinguishable voices for narration and the individual characters, and that it regularly swallows punctuation and paragraph pauses. I'm pretty sure both can be fixed by better prompting though.

Apart from that, it's a system invasion LitRPG story with a male MC. So... right there in the middle of the field. it's not bad at all and consistent in the story (bonus point for consistency!). You get some meta mystery, dungeon portals, and system messages.

Not enough material to talk about character development and world building at this point, but they could use some more _character_. Apart from the poet, the characters are fairly bland and I don't like the poet...

With 10 min each, the chapters are definition on the short side, even for LitRPG.

PPS, Audible plays podcast chapters in reverse... very annoying, not sure if the author has control over that, but I assume not, so I'll just encourage users to disable auto play in the "player settings" of the app.

AI narration?
