Über diesen Titel
This month, we dive deeper into Justice, Equity & The Real Story – Part 2.
Our “Justice in Cannabis” legal team, Sean and Jeffrey, returned to break down the ghosts in the room—how old convictions still follow people, even in a “legal” world.
They unpacked everything from personal impact to daily consequences, the gap between what the law says and what people actually face, and the emotional and social toll of being haunted by the past.
And yes… they also came with real success stories to remind us that progress is happening. Then we hit the streets with Let’s Talk Cannabis, featuring Arana Hankin-Biggers, the owner of The Travel Agency, a Black-owned dispensary in NYC.
She answered community questions about jobs, hiring, and what employment really looks like in the cannabis industry.
(Spoiler: most people said “Jobs? I never see anything about that!”—and Arena broke it all the way down.)
Professor Coffie brought it home with a conversation on Corner Boyz … and Corner Women, including a powerful interview with Jillian Dragustsky from Yerba Buena, whose family’s cannabis-related convictions tell a story that’s bigger than one person.
We wrapped with community news, reflections, and a whole lot of facts—because on “What You Heard", not everything said was actually true.
We didn’t correct folks on camera… we wanted to hear what they knew. Thankfully, Arana came right behind them with straight facts and clarity.
This episode is packed—not enough time, but everything you need. Entertaining. Informative.
