Tim and Art welcome "Hugh" to the corner booth! Hugh is the editor-in-chief (and Chief Enthusiast) of Turn & Work, an independent publication out of Toronto. Turn & Work publishes original short fiction every week, along with book reviews, coverage of independent music, and The Shortlist, a roundup of great short stories published elsewhere. The Thursday newsletter, Welcome Distractions, catches readers up on the week at Turn & Work, passes along good stuff he's been reading around the web, and offers a free indie music playlist to readers based on their own tastes.
Hugh grew up in rural Ontario, Canada where his first loves were punk rock and science fiction. He started Turn & Work in 2023 as a place to publish his book reviews and learn WordPress in the process. It's now a team of four and growing. By day he runs a boutique communications and design agency.
