Listen in as we chat about our history, becoming a craft distillery, and sip on a few excellent spirits. This is the Cultivated Cocktails story as we know it so far. Documenting where we have been and the pieces that make us who we are today, as well as what comes our way as we go along. Join us on our journey. As true natives of the Asheville NC area, the Howard family have raised generations in WNC. In 2012, they decided to start what was to become Asheville's first proper distillery to distill gin and rum since prohibition. With careful planning, research & development, and a burning desire to see Asheville become not just a beer mecca, but a craft beverage mecca, a distillery that would beckon curious drinkers far and wide was born. A vision to bring a craft spirit with class to the table would soon become reality. Over the years the vision has expanded to share the Cultivated Lifestyle. A new way to enjoy the distillery experience was created. From grain to garnish, Cultivated Cocktails takes you from the distillation process through the cocktail creation. This recording is property of H&H Distillery LLC, and is not to be copied or downloaded for monetary use by any other entities. Creativity breeds innovation, and collaboration between businesses provides unique opportunities to enter into new realms of possibilities outside of our own wheelhouse–and in this case, the barrel house. When our old friends at Asheville Bee Charmer approached us with plans to develop a barrel-aged honey, we knew this concept would be extra sweet. Along with the birth of their Hooch Honey aged in our Steel Horse Whisky barrel, our barrel returned to us with stalactites of leftover honey and a golden opportunity. Our signature Steel Horse Whisky was returned to the barrel and left to blend with the rich Hooch Honey. The result: Steel Horse Honey Whisky, a limited batch release with an un-bee-lievable outcome.
