We're stirring the pot a little with this one!
Has the holistic health industry started becoming the one thing it criticizes?
From endless supplement protocols and detox trends to fear based marketing and the obsession with finding a "root cause" for everything, its time for an uncomfortable but necessary conversation.
As a holistic health practitioner, I believe in the power of prevention, lifestyle changes and looking at the bigger picture. But I also believe that natural doesn't always mean safe, expensive doesn't mean effective and being holistic doesn't exempt us from scientific accountability.
This episode is a little controversial, a little humorous, and rooted in one important message:
Good wellness care should empower you, not create fear or dependency.
I believe in being transparent about what we know, what research supports and what we simply don't have enough evidence to claim.
I will continue learning, questioning and adjusting my practices as new evidence becomes available. I don't believe holding conventional medicine to one standard and holistic health to another.
You deserve honesty, education and informed choices. Not exaggerated promises or fear based marketing.
