Do you ever catch yourself wondering, Who am I now?
Maybe the roles and relationships that shaped your life are changing. Your children need you differently. Your career looks different. You are caring for aging parents. Or maybe life looks fine from the outside, but inside, you keep wondering, What does God have for me next?
Are you comparing your season to someone else’s timeline? Do you want to feel confident in who God created you to be, even when life does not look the way you expected?
If so, you are in the right place.
Welcome to Finding Purpose in Midlife, a place for Christian women to understand their identity and purpose in Christ, recognize what may be keeping them stuck, discern what God is doing in their present season, and take their next faithful step through Scripture, honest conversations, prayer, and real community.
Hello friends, We are Edda and Liana.
We’re sisters who grew up in a Christian home where faith was part of everyday life. Our parents taught us and modeled through their lives, to trust God, love people, and return to His Word. We are grateful for the foundation they gave us.
And somewhere in the middle of caring for everyone else, working, serving, and simply doing what each season required of us, those roles started to become part of how we saw ourselves.
For years, we carried out these roles without stopping to ask who we were underneath them all. But as those roles began to change, we started seeing something God had been teaching us all along. Our roles describe parts of our lives, but they do not define who we are.
We are first daughters of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Today, our children are grown up, living on their own, in college, married, and raising families. We are learning, right alongside you, what faithfulness looks like when one season ends, and another begins.
Together, we want to help you understand three things.
Your identity is not the same as your role.
Your purpose is bigger than any one assignment God has entrusted to you.
And a changing season does not mean God is finished with your story.
