Love our Podcast? Let us know! We would enjoy hearing from you.
This episode tackles one of the biggest mistakes we see when people start a new fitness program: going all in, all at once!
Clients get excited, motivated, and ready to change EVERYTHING. They want to work out five or six days a week, overhaul their nutrition, and see results immediately. But is doing more actually the best way to get results?
We discuss the concept of the minimum effective dose, the smallest amount of exercise needed to produce meaningful progress, and why starting with a manageable routine can lead to greater consistency and long-term success.
We also break down the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, including the recommendation of 150–300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week and muscle-strengthening activities at least two days per week. We explain why these guidelines are important health targets, but don't have to be your starting point.
Because the best exercise program isn't the one that leaves you exhausted after two weeks. It's the one you can consistently build on for years.
