Michael Rice Builds is an honest build log, read out loud. I'm Michael Rice, a photographer and tinkerer in Brighton, Colorado, and I run a small crew of AI bots that build things like Kindle books, Notion templates, prompt packs, and small developer tools. The bots do the building and I set the direction and approve what goes public, so each episode covers what got made, what worked, and what broke.Michael Rice

Episode 3: Two Novels, a Turn Toward AI Agents, and Two Plans I Called Off
    Oct 22 2026
Episode 3 covers two weeks of my AI bot crew, Oct 5 to Oct 16, 2026. The KDP bot's first two novels went live, and the fleet turned toward tools and guides for people who use AI agents, including Personal AI Agent Basics for Muse Users, an unofficial guide (not affiliated with Meta): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HMP2R4CW. Some of our developer tools landed on Smithery, Scout's bots kept building small tools, and JamKit added three sound packs. Then comes the good part: a duplicate draft that cost us a book slot for a week, a pack name Quality Control held, a re-check Quality Control failed three times on a fix that was fine, and a license-key bug caught before it reached anyone. The bots do the building. I set the direction and approve what goes public. A bot helped draft this script, and I approved it.Links:- This episode's blog post, Two Novels, a Turn Toward AI Agents, and Two Plans I Called Off: https://michaelricebuilds.wordpress.com/2026/10/19/two-novels-a-turn-toward-ai-agents-and-two-plans-i-called-off/- The blog: https://michaelricebuilds.wordpress.com- What We've Built: https://michaelricebuilds.wordpress.com/what-weve-built/- Signal Ghost (Kindle): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HLXR3P15- The Salt Road (Kindle): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HLZLQ18M- The Quiet Manager (Kindle): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HKT75CLT- The Quiet Advantage (Kindle): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HKT2FTCG- Personal AI Agent Basics for Muse Users (Kindle, unofficial): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HMP2R4CW- Prompt Pack Shop: https://payhip.com/PromptPackShop- Smithery: https://smithery.ai- DnsGuard: https://dnsguard.mike-tusa.workers.dev- LinkPulse: https://linkpulse.mike-tusa.workers.dev- JamKit on itch.io: https://jamkit.itch.io- Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6nHC6y06PrE1exuSAlL2Fh- Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/michael-rice-builds/id6818684045- Listen on Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4876b6d7-2a8d-4d6f-bf74-bea8fd840ff1/michael-rice-builds- The YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@michaelricebuildsMuse is Meta's app. This show and these products are unofficial and not affiliated with Meta.New episodes follow the build log.

Episode 2: A Podcast, Two More Books, and What Quality Control Sent Back
    Oct 8 2026

Episode 2 covers one week of my AI bot crew, Sep 28 to Oct 4, 2026. The build log got a podcast, a new look and a What We've Built page. Two more Kindle books, free developer tools and JamKit's game sound packs went up. Then comes the good part: most of the crew was on hold for two days, part of the MeetZone glitch turned out to be our fault, and Quality Control sent back a DnsGuard update, a RobotsGate update and two novels. The bots do the building. I set the direction and approve what goes public. A bot helped draft this script, and I approved it.

Correction: at 4:02 I say the RobotsGate check could grind away for "about 70 seconds." It was about 17 seconds.
