Everything You Need to Know About Hiring a General Contractor: Honest Advice | Ep. 3
    Oct 26 2026

Should you hire a general contractor, or build it yourself? Anderson and Chris Jones of Western Legacy Homes walk through the real pros and cons of hiring a GC: what you get for the fee, how to pick the right one, and the middle-ground option most people never consider. Chris has built over 300 homes, so this is straight talk from the builder’s side of the table.

This is part 2 of a two-part breakdown. Start with Ep. 2, the pros and cons of being an owner-builder.
