We’re wrapping up this series on Rivers today with a look at the river that appears in John’s vision in Revelation. I’ve always found Revelation to be a bit like reading a fever dream and I didn’t grow up reading it or hearing it read often, so I might not get it right. We’re back with two more stories today. This time both from the book of Daniel, and sadly there are no lions. Just Daniel and some visions he sees from the banks of two different rivers. I’m back from vacation so that means we’re back on the river. It’s a stretch to call today’s river, a river, but that’s what the psalmist and the prophet Ezekiel do, so I’m siding with them. It’s one you may not have heard of and will definitely struggle to find on a map. And the two stories are too long to share here, but if you want to find them and read them later, take a look at Psalm 46 and Ezekiel 47.
