Over deze titel

For generations, we’ve danced to Garbas without always knowing the stories we’re singing.
Because what we call Garba is actually a beautiful coming together of Lok Geet, Ras, Rasda and many other forms of Gujarati folk expression.
During Navratri, they all come together and we sing them with the same infectious joy.
But behind some of these cheerful melodies are stories of love, longing, separation, heartbreak, humour and life itself.
Garba Tales takes you beyond the rhythm to discover the meaning hidden in the words with folklorist Yogesh Gadhavi
Because when you understand the story, you may hear that familiar song a little differently.
And perhaps, the next time you dance to it, you’ll love the Garba just a little more.
