  • Episode 8: Who Are You Without the Titles? | Finding Your Identity in Christ
    Oct 6 2026

Who are you when you take away the titles?

    Not “wife.”
    Not “mom.”
    Not your career.
    Not what you’re good at.
    Not what you’ve accomplished.
Not even the roles you love most.

    Who are you then?

In Episode 8 of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re stepping into another one of our pillars: Identity—and getting honest about how easily we can build our identity around good things that were never meant to carry the weight of defining us.

For Lilian, motherhood became so intertwined with her identity that her children’s behavior could feel like a reflection of her worth as a mother. For Angela, becoming a mom and pouring herself into that role eventually left her feeling like she had lost parts of herself. And both of us have had to learn that even the most beautiful roles God gives us cannot tell us who we are.

Because motherhood was never meant to carry your identity.

Your marriage was never meant to carry your identity.

Your success, ministry, career, gifts, failures, or other people’s opinions were never meant to carry it either.

Only the One who created you can.

In this conversation, we talk about misplaced identity, perfectionism, motherhood, marriage, expectations for our children, the labels spoken over us when we were younger, discovering the gifts God placed within us, and why knowing whose we are changes the way we walk in our purpose.

We also open Scripture and look at what God actually says about those who are in Christ:

    You are chosen.
    You are adopted.
    You are accepted.
    You are redeemed.
    You are God’s precious possession.
    You are a new creation.
You are a citizen of Heaven.
    You belong to Christ.

And when your identity is rooted there, the things you love no longer have to carry a weight they were never designed to hold.

Because before you can fully walk in what God created you to do, you need to know who you are—and whose you are.

So we want to leave you with the same question we wrestled with:

If you weren’t allowed to introduce yourself by your roles, relationships, accomplishments, or titles…

Who would you say you are?

  • Episode 7 — Healing What’s Hidden | What Biblical Inner Healing Really Looks Like
    Sep 22 2026

What if the patterns you keep fighting aren’t just “bad habits”—but places in your heart that have never truly healed? And what does “inner healing” actually mean for a follower of Jesus?

In Episode 7 of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re stepping into our second pillar: Inner Healing. And we’re having this conversation from two different perspectives—one of us deeply passionate about inner healing, and one of us coming in with questions and even some skepticism.

Because we don’t want healing that makes us more focused on ourselves.

We want healing that brings us closer to Jesus.

In this episode, we talk about how wounds can shape what we believe, how those beliefs can create patterns in our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even physical responses—and what it can look like to invite the Holy Spirit into those places.

We walk through the connection between the body, soul, and spirit; anxiety and thought patterns; forgiveness and repentance; renewing the mind; replacing lies with biblical truth; and practical steps for bringing wounded places before God.

But ultimately, inner healing isn’t about digging through your past just to understand yourself better.

    It’s about surrender.

It’s about allowing Jesus into the places we’ve tried to protect, hide, suppress, or carry ourselves—and letting His truth transform what we believe and how we live.

Because the goal isn’t simply, “Jesus, make me feel better.”

The goal is: “Jesus, heal what needs healing so I can know You more, become more like You, and live fully surrendered to You.”

Maybe there are patterns in your life you’ve learned to live with.

Maybe there’s a reaction you can’t explain. Maybe you’ve forgiven someone with your mouth, but something in your heart still hurts. Or maybe, like Lilian, you’ve heard the words “inner healing” and wondered: Is this actually biblical?

This conversation is for you. 🤍

  • Episode 6: Take Every Thought Captive | Rewiring Your Mind With Truth
    Sep 15 2026

What if some of the thoughts shaping your life aren’t actually true?

We all have patterns of thinking—beliefs formed through our upbringing, experiences, wounds, fears, culture, and even things we’ve repeated to ourselves for years. And sometimes we’ve believed them for so long that we don’t even question them anymore.

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re getting radically honest about the battlefield of the mind and asking a hard question:

“What has been shaping the way I think—and does it actually align with the truth of God?”

We talk about renewing your mind, neuroplasticity, recognizing old thought patterns, pride, spiritual strongholds, discipline, and what Scripture actually means when it tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Because renewing your mind isn’t simply positive thinking.

It isn’t manifesting a better life. And it isn’t about becoming a “better version of yourself.” It’s about recognizing the lie, bringing it under the authority of Jesus, replacing it with His truth, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform the way you think so that your life begins to look more like Christ.

And we’re sharing this while we’re still walking through it ourselves.

We haven’t mastered this. We’re learning how to recognize our own patterns, confront uncomfortable places, surrender what the Holy Spirit reveals, and allow Him to keep refining us.

Maybe freedom begins with getting radically honest enough to ask:

“Where did this belief come from? Is it true? And what does God say about it?”

“...we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5

  • Episode 5 :When I Stopped Trying to Change My Husband | Surrendering Your Marriage to Jesus
    Sep 8 2026

What if the breakthrough you’ve been praying for in your marriage doesn’t begin with your husband changing… but with surrender?

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re having an honest conversation about something we’ve both wrestled with: wanting our husbands to grow spiritually, lead differently, pray differently, or pursue Jesus the way we thought they should.

And somewhere along the way, a good desire became control.

We found ourselves watching their walk instead of tending to our own. Pushing instead of praying. Trying to produce in them what only the Holy Spirit can produce.

But things began to shift when we got out of the way.

When Jesus became not only our Savior, but our Lord, the question changed from:

“God, when are You going to change him?”

    to:

“Jesus, what are You asking of me?”

We talk about spiritual leadership, being in different places spiritually than your spouse, control, pride, forgiveness, submission, trusting God with your husband’s walk, and what it actually means to live under the Lordship of Jesus.

This isn’t about pretending marriage isn’t hard or ignoring real hurt. It’s about learning that our peace, obedience, and relationship with Jesus cannot depend on where our spouse is spiritually.

Your husband belongs to Jesus more than he belongs to you.

And maybe freedom begins when we finally trust Jesus enough to let Him be Lord over our marriage, too. 🤍

  • Episode 4:God Was There Through Every Chapter | Angela’s Testimony
    Sep 1 2026

For years, Angela knew Scripture. She knew God loved her. She knew the truth—and yet, there were still places in her life filled with shame, bitterness, addiction, broken relationships, grief, and wounds she didn’t know how to heal.

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, Angela shares her testimony openly—from growing up in the church and knowing the Word, to searching for love and validation in relationships, partying and drugs, walking through an abortion in silence, an unhealthy marriage and divorce, the loss of her father, and eventually discovering what it meant to truly surrender those broken places to Jesus.

Her story is not about having a perfect Christian walk. It’s about a God who remained faithful through every chapter—even when she wandered, even when she carried shame, and even when she couldn't yet recognize how close He was.

And perhaps one of the most powerful reminders from her testimony is this:

“It doesn’t matter what you’ve walked through. It doesn’t matter what season you’re in, or how many times you’ve fallen… He meets you anywhere you’re at.”

If you’ve ever felt like your past disqualifies you, like you should have known better, or like you’ve made too many mistakes to come back to God, we pray Angela’s story reminds you that Jesus is still in the business of redeeming, restoring, and setting people free.

“‘What do you mean, “If I can”?’ Jesus asked. ‘Anything is possible if a person believes.’” — Mark 9:23

Welcome to From Brokenness to Freedom. This is Angela’s testimony. 🤍

  • Episode 3: He Was There All Along | Lilian’s Testimony
    Aug 18 2026

What if your testimony doesn’t look dramatic?

What if you didn’t have one life-changing moment where everything fell apart and Jesus suddenly found you?

For years, I wrestled with the lie that I didn’t really have a testimony. But looking back, I can see something I couldn’t always see while I was living it: He was there all along.

Through childhood, seasons of being close to God and seasons of drifting, becoming a wife and mother, loss, struggles with control and perfectionism, healing, surrender, and major transitions—God was continually pursuing me, protecting me, speaking to me, and drawing me closer to Him.

My story isn’t about how far I fell. It’s about how faithful He has been.

In this episode, I’m sharing my testimony for the first time and some of the moments that helped me recognize the hand of God throughout my life.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your story matters because it doesn’t seem “big enough,” I pray this conversation reminds you that your testimony isn’t about how broken you were.

It’s about what Jesus has done. 🤍

  • Learning to Receive the Love of God Episode 2
    Aug 11 2026

What does it really mean to be loved by God—and do we actually know how to receive that love?

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we continue the conversation from forgiveness into what comes next: allowing God to fill the places we’ve finally surrendered.

We unpack 1 Corinthians 13 and look at love not simply as an emotion, but as the very nature of God. We talk honestly about condemnation, shame, identity, repentance, sanctification, and the difference between knowing that “God loves me” and actually learning to live from His love.

Because God’s love doesn’t excuse the places that need healing—it meets us there, draws us closer, and transforms us.

If you’ve struggled to believe you’re truly loved by God, felt like your past disqualifies you, or wondered how to move from simply believing in Jesus to actually experiencing freedom in Him, this conversation is for you.

You are loved. You are invited closer. And you don’t have to stay where you’ve been.

“Now these three remain: faith, hope and love—but the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13

Join us as we pursue honesty, healing, identity, and purpose—and discover the freedom found in Jesus.

  • Forgiveness Brings Freedom
    Aug 1 2026

What if forgiveness isn't about letting someone else off the hook... but about finally walking in the freedom Jesus has for you?

In our very first episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we have an honest conversation about one of the hardest things God calls us to do—forgive.

Together, we share our personal journeys, the struggles we faced, and how the Holy Spirit gently revealed areas of unforgiveness we didn't even realize we were still carrying. We talk about forgiving others, forgiving ourselves, and what Scripture teaches about living free from bitterness, shame, and resentment.

    If you've ever wondered:
    • Why is forgiveness so hard?
    • Can I forgive someone who never apologized?
    • What if I still feel hurt after I've forgiven?
    • How do I forgive myself?
    • What does biblical forgiveness actually look like?

    ...this conversation is for you.

Our prayer is that this episode reminds you that forgiveness isn't about minimizing what happened to you—it's about trusting God with your pain and allowing Him to heal what only He can heal.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
    — Ephesians 4:32
