Knowing what you want and feeling comfortable saying it out loud can be two very different things.
In Episode 31, I shared how getting kicked out of my first salon shaped the way I handled change. I became good at finding the next opportunity, but I didn’t always understand what I needed beyond getting away from what wasn’t working.
This episode continues that conversation. After months of reflection, self-discovery, and building a different way of working, I’m noticing a change in how I respond to opportunities.
I can appreciate someone recognizing my strengths while also asking whether the responsibilities, expectations, and working arrangement fit what I want now. And I can communicate that even when I’m nervous about how it will be received.
In this episode, I talk about:
• Why owning my spa once felt like my best available option.
• The difference between wanting relief from a situation and understanding what I want to build.
• How closing my physical space gave me room to explore mentorship, education, and consulting.
• Recognizing the work I’m good at—and the work I actually enjoy.
• Communicating my capacity and preferences while respecting another person’s business needs.
• How Integrated Alignment turns self-discovery into choices I can practice in real life.
Integration doesn’t mean I never feel anxious or question myself. It means I have more understanding to return to when I’m making a decision, speaking up, or considering my next chapter.
