Unlocking Potential is a channel dedicated to helping people break through limitations and become who they are truly capable of being.

Hosted by a mindset coach and facilitator, this channel explores the psychology, beliefs, and lived experience behind real human growth. We move beyond surface-level motivation to focus on what creates lasting change — especially in identity, self-worth, trauma, grief, relationships, and performance.

Through in-depth conversations with entrepreneurs, psychologists, coaches, and thought leaders, along with practical solo teachings, you’ll learn how limiting beliefs form and dissolve, how emotional pain transforms, how identity is rebuilt after challenge or loss, and what fulfilled, high-performing individuals consistently believe and do.

This channel is for people serious about growth — not hype, not quick fixes, and not superficial positivity.

  • I Regret Not Taking Action - What I Would Do Now Instead
    Aug 29 2026

What if the thing stopping you from going after your dreams isn’t fear itself… but your need to protect the image you have of yourself?

I wanted to start a serious podcast back in 2014. I didn’t. For 12 years, I let fear of embarrassment, criticism, looking stupid, and getting things wrong stop me from doing something I genuinely wanted to do.

In this episode, I break down what I eventually realized: pride and humiliation are two sides of the same coin. The more attached we are to looking intelligent, capable, confident, or successful, the more threatening it becomes to take actions that might expose the opposite.

We explore how accepting both sides of yourself can create real courage, why you don’t need to eliminate fear before taking action, and how intentionally feeling and releasing discomfort can gradually reduce its power over you.

Most importantly, I talk about the shift from focusing on yourself to focusing on who you’re trying to serve—because sometimes purpose, contribution, and love are what finally make the fear small enough to move through.

Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz is one of the classic books on self-image, confidence, visualization, and personal change.

In this video, I break down the book into 9 of its most important ideas and explain them in practical, easy-to-understand language.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why your self-image shapes your behavior and results
    • How the mind works like a goal-seeking mechanism
    • Why mistakes and failures should be treated as feedback
    • How mental rehearsal and visualization can influence performance
    • Why worry is essentially mental rehearsal aimed at the wrong outcome
    • How to de-hypnotize yourself from limiting beliefs
    • Why trying too hard can interfere with your natural ability
    • The qualities Maltz associates with a “success personality”
    • How emotional scars, shame, resentment, and self-consciousness can keep you stuck
    • Why self-acceptance is so important for lasting change

One of the central ideas in Psycho-Cybernetics is that we tend to act in accordance with the person we believe ourselves to be. Maltz argues that when your internal self-image changes, new behavior becomes possible.

He also describes the mind as an automatic guidance system: choose a target, take action, notice the feedback, correct your course, and keep moving. A mistake doesn't have to mean failure—it can simply tell you where to adjust.

I first read Psycho-Cybernetics when I was 17, and I've returned to its ideas many times since. In this summary, I also explore where I believe the book can be expanded using what I've learned about beliefs, emotions, identity, and personal transformation over the years.

If you've heard people talk about Psycho-Cybernetics but never read it—or you read it years ago and want a refresher—this video will give you a clear overview of the ideas that made the book so influential.

  • The Limiting Beliefs Your Parents Gave You

Your parents influence far more than your childhood.

They help shape your beliefs, your self-image, your confidence, what you believe you deserve, and even how you see yourself decades later.

In this episode, I share one of the most important breakthroughs of my life.

I grew up without a father. He was a severe alcoholic, and for most of my life I believed he had never really loved me. I thought I was indifferent about it—but underneath that story was still an emotional charge that had affected how I felt about myself.

Years later, after becoming a father myself, I decided I didn't want to carry that baggage forward.

I sat down and did the internal work.

What I discovered completely changed how I saw my father—and, unexpectedly, how I saw myself. A memory I had interpreted as evidence that he didn't care became evidence of effort, consideration and love that I had simply been unable to see before.

I also realized something even bigger:

    I hadn't grown up without a father.

I had received what I needed through many different men—friends' fathers, teachers, mentors, my mother's partners and others who taught me, challenged me, encouraged me and showed up at different points in my life.

That's the deeper point of this episode.

Sometimes the pain isn't only what happened.

It's the meaning we've attached to what happened.

And when that meaning becomes a belief, it can quietly shape our confidence, relationships, behaviour and identity for years.

This is the kind of work we do inside my community: identifying the beliefs and perceptions beneath the surface, challenging them, and doing the deeper work required to become freer, more confident and more able to move forward.

If you're serious about growth and ready to do the work, come join us.
