Season 2 of Diggin’ Up Dinos has officially come to an end—but don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere!

In this short season outro, Brad looks back on Season 2, talks about what goes into researching and producing the show, and explains what happens during the break between seasons. Plus, there’s a small tease of what’s waiting for us when Season 3 arrives.

Thank you for joining me for another season of Diggin’ Up Dinos. Season 3 is coming, and there are plenty more fossils left to uncover.

Remember—the fossils always tell a better story.

The Season 2 finale of Diggin' Up Dinos is here!

All season long we've explored dinosaur families and seen how evolution can take a shared blueprint and produce animals with different sizes, adaptations, and ways of surviving. For our finale, we're heading back to the Late Jurassic to meet one of its most famous predators: Allosaurus.

But Allosaurus isn't alone.

We're also digging into the mystery surrounding Saurophaganax. Was this massive predator truly its own dinosaur, or are we looking at an exceptionally large species of Allosaurus? We'll explore the fossils, the Morrison Formation they called home, their possible hunting strategies, diet, appearance, and the evidence behind a debate that continues to evolve as paleontology advances.

Most importantly, this episode asks a question that has followed us throughout the season: what happens when new evidence changes what we thought we knew?

After listening, I want to hear what you think. Should Saurophaganax remain its own dinosaur, or does the evidence point toward Allosaurus?

Thanks for joining me for Season 2 of Diggin' Up Dinos.

And remember—the fossils always tell a better story.

When most people picture the Age of Dinosaurs, they imagine towering giants roaming an empty landscape. But the truth is far more fascinating.

In this special concept episode of Diggin' Up Dinos, we step away from the dinosaurs themselves and explore the incredible animals that shared their world. From bizarre Hell Ants and ancient pollinators to early geckos preserved in amber, giant crocodilians like Deinosuchus, and the small mammals quietly laying the foundation for the future, the Cretaceous was a thriving ecosystem filled with remarkable life.

Join me as we walk across the Cretaceous plains and discover that dinosaurs were never alone—they were just one part of a much bigger story.

Thanks for listening, and remember: the fossils always tell a better story.
