SPECIAL EPISODE: We had a nice conversation with an old friend and prior boss, Dan Goldfarb. Dan has been investing in banks for almost four decades (yes, he is old). We worked together at a few prior firms and I think he is a great person to put the current banking issues into context. 

Have you heard of the term 'k-shaped recovery'? Well, Peter was the one that immortalized that term to describe the post pandemic shutdown economic recovery.

Peter has a long history of being involved with the financial markets but changed his focus after the 2008 financial crisis and became a professor. His research focuses on confidence. Peter is an expert in how changes in confidence consistently and predictably impact our preferences, decisions and actions.

In the mid-90s, Peter and Will Halby and their wives, Ila and Vanessa, teamed up to create a non-profit with a mission of organizing specialty camps for the disabled themed around music, art, theatre and sports. 

We are fortunate to have Peter join us for this episode and introduce us to the great things they are doing.

Greg teaches the capstone course Sustainable Innovation in Healthcare: Managing Continuous Improvements in Developing Products and Services. He is also Chief Medical and Information Officer at PRA Health Sciences, a leading pharmaceutical service, healthcare data and contract research firm. Previously, he was President and Chief Medical Officer at Castle Creek Pharmaceuticals, President of Rare Disease at Moderna Therapeutics, and had leadership roles at McKinsey & Co., Quintiles, Inc., Proteostasis, Amicus Therapeutics, Domain Associates and Medtronic Neurological. He was co-founder of Immunome Therapeutics. Greg has degrees from Harvard Business School, Yale School of Medicine, Columbia University, and Boston College. He trained at the Brigham and Women's, Children's, and Massachusetts General Hospitals. He is on non-profit advisory boards. Greg writes about innovation for Forbes.

This week we welcome Jennifer Jordan, a professor on leadership and organizational behavior at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.  Jennifer has focused her research on power and the changing leadership qualities as we move further into the digital world.
