  • Episode 10: The Master Carpenter — Built Through the Years | Season 1 Finale
    Oct 3 2026

Every strong structure starts with a solid foundation—and so does a strong life.

In the Season 1 finale of Built on the Rock Podcast, Oscar sits down with Michael, a Master Carpenter, to talk about a lifetime shaped by the trades.

Michael shares how he got started in carpentry, the experience and lessons he gained over the years, and what it really takes to develop skill in a craft that demands patience, precision, problem-solving, and hard work.

But this conversation goes beyond wood and tools.

It’s about learning from mistakes, passing knowledge to the next generation, taking pride in honest work, and understanding that becoming a master at anything doesn’t happen overnight.

For Oscar, with years of experience in finish carpentry himself, this conversation also brings the message of Built on the Rock full circle: whether you’re building a house, a career, or rebuilding your life, the foundation matters.

Thank you to everyone who listened, supported, shared, prayed, and followed along throughout Season 1.

    This isn’t the end.

    We’re just getting started.

  • Episode 9: Present, But Absent — The Father Wound
    Sep 26 2026

Some wounds don’t come from someone leaving. Sometimes they come from someone being there physically, but never truly being present.

In this deeply personal episode of Built on the Rock Podcast, Oscar opens up about his relationship with his father, the pain of growing up around addiction, violence, silence, and the longing every son has to feel loved, protected, and accepted by his dad.

From childhood memories to one quiet car ride filled with things left unsaid, this episode is about facing the past without allowing it to control the future.

It’s not a story about hatred. It’s about truth, forgiveness, healing, and learning that even when an earthly father falls short, God can still rebuild what was broken.

If you’ve ever carried a father wound, felt abandoned while someone was still physically present, or struggled to make peace with your childhood, this episode is for you.

  • Episode 8 — Giving God the Credit
    Sep 20 2026

Sometimes we pray when we need God to open a door, provide for our family, or bring us through a difficult season. But when the answer comes, how often do we get busy living in the blessing and forget to thank the One who brought us through?

In Episode 8 of Built on the Rock Podcast, Oscar reflects on giving God the credit—for family, work, provision, strength, recovery, second chances, and the things money could never buy.

God brought me through. He rescued me from addiction. He gave me another opportunity at life. And I never want to receive His grace and then live as though I did it all by myself.

Through Scripture, including Luke 4:4, Deuteronomy 8, John 15:5, and Philippians 4:19, we look at what it means to depend on God not only when we’re struggling, but also when things begin to get better.

This episode is a reminder to slow down, recognize what God has already done, love our families through our actions, remain faithful in our work, and remember the One who gives us the strength to keep moving forward.

🙏 What is one thing you’re thanking God for today?
