Ownership of real estate is subject to fluctuations in the value of underlying properties, the impact of economic conditions on real estate values, the strength of specific industries renting properties and defaults by borrowers or tenants. Real estate is a cyclical business, highly sensitive to general and local economic conditions and developments, and characterized by intense competition and periodic overbuilding. Credit and interest rate risk may affect real estate companies’ ability to borrow or lend money.

The Fund will primarily invest in publicly traded common equity securities of US REITs. The Fund may also invest a portion of its assets in publicly traded common equity of US real estate operating companies (not structured as REITs), publicly traded preferred equity of US REITs and real estate operating companies, and cash and cash equivalents.

The Fund is considered nondiversified and as a result may experience greater volatility than a diversified fund.

Investments in securities of Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) involve risks that differ from an investment in common stock. MLPs are controlled by their general partners, which generally have conflicts of interest and limited fiduciary duties to the MLP, which may permit the general partner to favor its own interests over the MLPs. A portion of the benefits you are expected to derive from the Funds’ investment in MLPs depends largely on the MLPs being treated as partnerships for federal income tax purposes. As a partnership, an MLP has no federal income tax liability at the entity level. Therefore, treatment of one or more MLPs as a corporation for federal income tax purposes could affect the Funds’ ability to meet their investment objectives and would reduce the amount of cash available to pay or distribute to you. Legislative, judicial, or administrative changes and differing interpretations, possibly on a retroactive basis, could negatively impact the value of an investment in MLPs and therefore the value of your investment in the Funds. The Funds invest primarily in a particular sector and could experience greater volatility than a fund investing in a broader range of industries. The Alerian Energy Infrastructure ETF may be subject to risks relating to its investment in Canadian securities. Because the Fund will invest in securities denominated in foreign currencies and the income received by the Fund will generally be in foreign currency, changes in currency exchange rates may negatively impact the Fund’s return. Investments in the energy infrastructure sector are subject to: reduced volumes of natural gas or other energy commodities available for transporting, processing or storing; changes in the regulatory environment; extreme weather and; rising interest rates which could result in a higher cost of capital and drive investors into other investment opportunities. The Funds employ a “passive management” - or indexing - investment approach and seek investment results that correspond (before fees and expenses) generally to the performance of their underlying index. Unlike many investment companies, the Funds are not “actively” managed. Therefore, they would not necessarily sell or buy a security unless that security is removed from or added to their underlying index, respectively.

There are specific risks associated with international investing, such as currency fluctuations, foreign taxation, differences in financial reporting practices and rapid changes in political and economic conditions

The Fund invests principally in municipal securities. The value of municipal securities may be affected by uncertainties in the municipal market related to legislation or litigation involving the taxation of municipal securities or the rights of municipal securities holders in the event of a default or bankruptcy. If a security’s structure fails to function as intended, the security could become taxable or decline in value. Additionally, issuers of municipal obligations may not be able to make timely payments because of general economic downturns or increased governmental costs.

The Fund will not invest 25% or more of its total assets in any one municipal revenue sector relating to bonds backed by revenues from similar types of projects (such as those relating to higher education, healthcare, housing, airports or utilities) or with other similar economic, business, or political characteristics. However, as the Fund’s exposure to such similar projects increases, the Fund will also become more sensitive to adverse economic, business or political
developments relevant to these projects.
