Keanu Reeves Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Keanu Reeves has spent the past several days proving that his biography is still being written in two very different places: onstage with his band Dogstar and in the audience at a Joy Division concert. The most significant recent development is Dogstar’s new All In Now tour, which launched September twenty ninth at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre. Guitar Player reports that Reeves discussed the three hundred dollar Ibanez bass that began his musical career, along with the players who shaped his style. The story adds long term weight to a musical chapter that began in the early 1990s, survived Dogstar’s 2002 breakup, and returned with the band’s reunion and new recordings. Before Dogstar’s San Francisco performance, Reeves made a surprise appearance at the Warfield on September twenty first, introducing Peter Hook and The Light. NME, Paste Magazine, and Guitar Player all report that Reeves welcomed the former Joy Division and New Order bassist, then watched from a balcony as Hook dedicated Love Will Tear Us Apart to him. Fan video showed Reeves dancing enthusiastically. The moment was especially fitting because Reeves has previously called the Joy Division classic his favorite song. It also reinforces the less expected part of his public identity: not merely an actor who plays bass, but a committed musician with deep personal connections to the music that influenced him. Guitar Player says fans have begun suggesting that Reeves induct Hook into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November. That is speculation, not an announced plan. Similarly, Mexican outlets report that Dogstar is expected to perform in Mexico City on November twenty fifth alongside A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, but the available reports say promoter details and ticket information were still pending official confirmation. On October second, FanBolt reported that Reeves is scheduled to appear at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, running October twenty fourth through thirty first, for a discussion of his BRZRKR comic with co-writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney. That appearance would spotlight his continuing work as a comic book creator and producer, although the festival schedule should be checked for final confirmation. No major verified Keanu Reeves headline from the past twenty four hours was identified in the available reporting, and no authenticated new personal social media statement surfaced.
