On this brand new show produced by charity Catch 21, host Amy interviews various psychologists who work with alternative therapies for PTSD. Dance? Music? Art? All of these activities can be used as something called 'Embodied Therapy'. Listen to discover exactly how they could help you recover from PTSD.

Catch21 aims to raise the awareness of PTSD/c-PTSD causes and treatment. Symptoms associated with trauma link to the complexities of mind and body and Embodied Psychotherapies seem to be an effective way to treat the trauma as 'bottom- up' approach. They believe that every individual has the capacity to heal providing that they are given the right support and healing alternatives.

It allows one to differentiate her memory (past) and a future projection unconsciously.Because we have gathered our beliefs, thoughts, and ideas unconsciously, then change has to happen unconsciously. We never change consciously without working out what plays within.TimeLine Therapy techniques allow a person to release the effects of past negative experiences at the unconscious level. It also changes “inappropriate” beliefs in minutes rather than usual therapies that take days, months, or even years.April briefly mentions NLP, which can be looked into further here: https://nlp-uk.co.uk ------------This podcast is sponsored by Cracking the Narrative; a 6-unit program that dives into what our personal and cultural narratives are, where they came from, what our true inner self wants, and how to change our narratives to live fuller and more enriching lives.
