Caroline McGuigan is an Irish psychotherapist, mental health advocate, activist, and group facilitator.

• She trained as a psychotherapist and earned a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2001.
• Alongside her clinical work, she has shared her expertise as a tutor at Maynooth University.

• In 2003, McGuigan founded the national charity Suicide or Survive (SOS) right at her kitchen table.
• She envisioned a collaborative approach to mental health, focused on putting power back in the hands of the individual and providing them with educational tools to drive their own recovery and build resilience.
• Through the organization, she created the Eden Programme and helped facilitate community support initiatives, recovery workshops, and workplace mental health training.
• In recognition of her impactful work, she received a Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Level 1 Award in 2006, followed by a Level 2 Award in 2007.

• McGuigan is recognized as an Advanced WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) facilitator and is a prominent voice for cultural change regarding mental health in Ireland.
• Between 2008 and 2012, she served as a member of Amnesty International's Experts by Experience Advisory Group, helping to advise the organization on its mental health campaigns.
• Her advocacy work has included public speaking engagements in schools and workplaces across the country to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations.
• She has also appeared in a national social marketing campaign on billboards and newspapers, and featured in the 2009 documentary I See a Darkness.
• She recently appeared as a featured guest on the Aran Island Discs podcast.

• Deb Grant was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland.
• She developed a passion for music from an early age, having started buying records and DJing by the time she was 15 years old.
• Growing up in the 1990s, her musical trajectory was shaped by Dublin's pirate radio scene (particularly a station called Spectrum 101, which later evolved into Phantom FM), as well as a strong interest in 1960s and 1970s mod culture.
• At the age of 18, she relocated to London to study music, and she is currently based in Manchester.

• Early in her broadcasting career, she went by the pseudonym "Anne Frankenstein," hosting shows on Resonance FM and presenting programs such as Late Night Jazz and Sunday Drive on Jazz FM.
• In January 2022, she announced she would be dropping her pseudonym to broadcast professionally under her real name.
• After joining BBC Radio 6 Music in 2023, she became the co-host of the flagship weekday evening show New Music Fix Daily, which focuses on breaking new and underground music.
• She initially launched the program alongside Tom Ravenscroft, but following his departure from the station in 2025, she now presents the show with Nathan Shepherd.

• Outside of her radio work, Grant is a writer who contributes a regular monthly music column for The Big Issue.
• In 2024, she appeared in the critically acclaimed documentary Getting It Back: The Story of Cymande, and she subsequently hosted a Q&A event with the band at the British Film Institute in London.
• She also served as part of the BBC's presentation team covering both the Glastonbury Festival and the Mercury Prize in 2025.

• Conor Niland was born on 19 September 1981 in Birmingham, England, but his family relocated to Limerick, Ireland, when he was just two years old.
• He grew up in Limerick and attended St. Nessan's National School as well as Crescent College Comprehensive.
• At the age of 16, he moved to Millfield, a public school in Somerset renowned for its sporting programs, before going on to study English at the University of California, Berkeley. He left college to focus on playing professional tennis in 2005.

• Niland was the highest-ranked Irish tennis player during his career, achieving a peak ATP ranking of No. 129 in December 2010.
• He spent much of his career on the Futures and Challenger circuits, claiming notable Challenger titles at the Israel Open and the ATP Salzburg Indoors in 2010.
• He was a stalwart for the Ireland Davis Cup team from 2000 to 2012, competing in 25 matches with a 15–10 win-loss record.
• A major career milestone came in 2011 when he qualified for the main draw at Wimbledon, becoming the first Irishman to do so since 1980. That same year, he also reached the main draw of the US Open, where he faced Novak Djokovic in the first round while battling a bout of food poisoning.
• Before turning pro, he experienced high-profile moments as a junior, including beating Roger Federer and being chosen to hit with Serena Williams at Nick Bollettieri's academy.
• Niland officially retired from professional tennis on 12 April 2012, citing a recurring hip injury that carried a lengthy and uncertain recovery time.

• In June 2024, Niland published a widely acclaimed memoir titled The Racket: On Tour with Tennis's Golden Generation – and the other 99%.
• The book offers a candid, insider look at the grueling reality for the vast majority of professional tennis players, contrasting the glamorous world of top superstars with the daily grind of lower-ranked touring pros trying to cover their expenses.
• The Racket achieved significant critical acclaim and won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award in 2024.
