Max Hoste has known struggle since the day he acquired his black skill, Consume.

Now with a friend kidnapped, he and the rest of his party must find a way to save Cordellia before something happens to her. Making things harder is that Bob, his black skill, has vanished, locked away somewhere since they overrode the tower and brought Rakonath into it.

With all these problems about to come to a head, the truth is things are going to get much harder. The last tower floors are within sight and Tanila's pregnancy seems to be moving faster than expected. Can he save his friend, finish the tower and protect everyone he loves? Will he be able to defeat the tower and find out what lies beyond?

Love the story, but maybe because of the way it's sayd or just because it is used in every Konversation... several times, the "you and I *bothe* know" "we *bothe* know" brings me out of the story.

We *bothe* know some phrases are overused.

wish everyone a lot of fun with the books after this one. narrator changed in the next one and the voices aren' t similar one bit to the old ones. at least that should be the minimum goal.
I refunded the next book. was a nice journey so far and a good end for an open end.

The last good one

Good Story, bad Audiobook

the story is really good and I enjoy it a lot, but for the the audio book is a pain to listen to. it is not that the narrator has a bad voice, but there is a line between good voice acting and going too far. for me the narrator is crossing this line over half the time and by a landslide. half the time the narrator is screaming instead of narrating and some voice are so over acted that it is almost not possible to understand.
