Über die Qualität des Buches und die Schilderungen des (Vor)Ehelebens im Einzelnen mag man geteilter Auffassung sein. Wirklich enttäuscht hat mich aber die Sprecherin Elizabeth Klett: Sie vermag es nicht, zwischen den Charakteren zu differenzieren, und auch innerhalb eines Charakters hat sie nur eine sehr begrenzte Auswahl an Ausdrucksmitteln, um Stimmungen und Satzbedeutung zu betonen bzw. deutlich zu machen. Kein Vergleich zu Juliet Stevenson oder Josephine Bailey!
