After having read The other Boleyn Girl and after having listened to The Boleyn Inheritance I am an absolutely fan of Philippa Gregory. I love the way she writes about history. Writing from the perspective(-s) of the main character(-s). Of course not all persons did have an equally interesting live to tell about but Philippa Gregory knows how to make all of them interesting to the reader. And again I like the voice of Bianca Amato and the way she reads The Red Queen.

History through the eyes of the main character

Realistische Geschichte jener Zeit (mit ein wenig Magie). Ambitionierte Mutter die dafür viel geopfert hat von sich selber. Philippa Gregory beschreibt gut wie sich eine junge unsichere Person zu einer Person mit Charakter entwickeln kann.

It’s not an extremely great book. I was really looking for one that highlighted Margareth Beauforts outstanding story and I had previously enjoyed the Wars of the Roses Trilogy by Conn Iggulden. (In which she sadly doesn’t appear) This book is much less well written. But pleasant enough for easy entertainment. However I really struggled with the narrators… They’re both awful in diffferent ways that make it really hard to concentrate on the story. Why wasn’t there a good actor up to do the job? :/
