all in all a nice story. the spicey scenes in the last third felt forced, not organic.

the narrator almost made me end the book. she sounds not at all cozy, autumny or romantic. she sounds neutral at best, rough, hard, not feeling the story a bit. really sad.

I don't get the hype. and the only resemblance with Gilmore girls is a small town and the male lead being a bit unenthusiastic.
