Award-winning and New York Times best-selling author Mary Balogh delights fans with historical romantic tales that touch the heart. After her husband dies in a freak accident, Lady Gwendoline Muir never dreams she’ll love again. So when soldier-turned-nobleman Lord Hugo Trentham stirs feelings in her that have lain dormant for years, she can’t help but imagine his strong embrace. Hugo finds himself drawn to Gwen, but he’s never courted a woman before. Can he muster the right words to make Gwen open her heart and love once more?

Wonderful new series with great new stories and amazing characters! And I must say that while I am a huge Rosalyn Landor fan and have found it difficult to listen to book read by others, Rebecca De Leeuw did an awesome performance and I will certainly into more books read by her.

Love this series!

Always easy listening and whilst they are all predictable regarding who is going to end up with whom they are good. Enjoyed this one as it was a man aiming higher in society rather than a woman.

A Little different than the usual

Interesting settings, wonderfully varied characters and several good themes. What war and adversity can do to people, and what they take with them into the future, bound up into an insightful tale. Loved it.
