The Story is set in a brilliantly diverse and intricate world. The main characters have great chemisty. Abigail Owen writes great dialoge and funny inner dialogues.

… ab ca der Hälfte wird es zäh. Leider. Die Charaktere werden unglaubwürdig und manche Szenen sind langweilig. Auch das Ende ist nicht gelungen. Schade.

Fängt gut an aber…

Eigentlich ist es eine tolle Geschichte, aber gegen Ende des Buches wird es zu zäh und es gibt kein befriedigendes Ende. Mir ist klar, dass es eine Fortsetzung gibt, aber trotzdem hätte ich mir für das erste Buch ein richtiges „Finale“ gewünscht. Dieses Finale fehlt und man bleibt ziemlich frustriert zurück. Denn weder kamen die Hauptfiguren im Lösen ihrer Aufgabe wirklich weiter, noch kam es zu einer spannenden Wendung. Mir persönlich ist damit auch die Lust vergangen, die weiteren zwei Bücher anzuhören. Dafür fühlt es sich viel zu sehr nach „Unnötigem in die Länge-Ziehen“ an.
Wer das Buch anhören will, braucht einen sehr langen Atem!
Nichtsdestotrotz ist die Grundidee der Geschichte sehr gelungen und die Sprecherin ist super.

i loved this book. what a great listen/read! can definitely recommend. some unexpected twists that kept the plot interesting and am super excited for the next part.

Ich war am Anfang etwas skeptisch, aber dieses Buch hat mich förmlich in seinen Bann gesogen. Eine spannende Handlung, eine wunderschöne Liebesgeschichte und tolle Charaktere die vielschichtig sind.
