great story, something different. after a while you can't stop listening. in between sometimes a bit boring too.

I've "heard" the German version 10 years ago and it was devasted by the wrong performer. THIS English version however is a revelation. The book (the whole story as such) is top notch whatsoever and a blessing in the fantasy genre. IMHO this is a masterpiece. But what John Telfer does here is nothing less than pure magic. He is so damn good! I've not known him but his reading is so nuanced, on point and diverse - pure art this man. Even the slightes nuances he endeavours to convey by his reading and as a man is able to "speak" women without letting them sound over-hysterical or stereotyped. What a massive combo fallon's writing and characters and Telfer are. Since I've listened to all the parts, be advised: It only gets better, the story does and Telfer does.
