Lucia's the strongest person in the world, and she's perfectly content with living out the remainder of her life gorging herself on acorn stew and hot chocolate. Unfortunately for her, her sadistic sword spirit, Durandal, has different plans.

i had a feeling the last book had a weird oriental feel to it.
but now all pretense is lost and the immortal continent is basically china.
mare really brings these charakters to live and i am hopefully awaiting the next title

another amazing performance.

It stays true to the 1st book and manages to not get boring by expanding the world a lot. A little bit to much exposition this time because of all the politics that are now part of the story. I'm really looking forward on how the love stories are continued. Durandal is sadly a much weaker character, wich is mostly because he lost all the dignity from the 1st story. Overall I would say more of the same, so if you liked the 1st book you most likely will also enjoy this book.

more of the craziness
