Der Sprecher klingt toll und man fühlt den trockenen staubigen Wind im Gesicht. Zur Geschichte ist bereits alles gesagt was s zu sagen gibt. Ausser vielleicht viel Spaß.

As an occasional reader of Stephen King, I had extremely high expectations for "The Dark Tower". Everywhere you look, the series is praised as his monumental magnum opus. However, after listening to three parts, I have to soberly state: for me, this series absolutely does not deserve to be called a unified "body of work".The story drags on forever. Instead of a gripping, overarching plotline, one tedious episode simply follows the next. The plot often feels artificially stretched out and constantly repeats itself in its patterns. Instead of suspense and epic scale, boredom and endless repetitive phases dominate here, causing my mind to drift off regularly while listening.After the third volume, my patience was finally at an end. I frustratedly abandoned the series and deeply regret the purchase as well as the spent credit. Anyone who wants to experience the true brilliance of Stephen King should not waste their time with this tower. Instead, you should rather pick up real masterpieces like "It" or "The Stand". These books offer the gripping atmosphere, the depth, and the brilliant structure that I completely missed here. No recommendation.
