Madison Daniels has worshiped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.

Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70's honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first...

This book had a lot of cliches in my opinion but they are entertaining nonetheless. It’s just a little too rapidly hot-cold-hot-cold fight-flight for me to adorn this entertaining story with 5 stars but I definitely wouldn’t mind listening to this one again. I had to get used to the narrator though. First by not having realized that it’s a male narrator (told from 3rd person perspective) but after that I still had to get used to how the narrator would voice everything. Very narrator-ish, so it’s really like listening to a story instead of being able to get all mangled up inside it, like the last audiobooks were narrated, I was living the story more. Still, listening to this story is very pleasant and the narrator did a fantastic job for my ears with hearing difficulties, never had trouble understanding anything he said and never had to second guess what I was hearing either (have less pronounced hearing abilities that leaves me guessing for the right syllables but sometimes it’s even worse, gives for some very funny stories though, the things I hear are often too funny to keep to myself 😂)

This is a hot-cold-hot-cold kinda romance
