One of the best Georgette Heyer audiobook recordings. Unlike the Masqueraders and the Black Sheep which were too annoying to listen to because of the overexcited and speedy voices of the speakers, this voice was just perfect for a perfect story. thank you!

Great story and great speaker

I found the book interesting, and I also liked the characters and the plot. As for the narrator, I generally like his voice for adult male characters, but not really for women, and certainly not for small children. Eduard’s voice was terrible.

Ich liebe fast alle Georgette Heyer Romane. Sylvester ist sehr kurzweilig und lebendig vorgelesen. Der Sprecher hat eine sehr schöne Stimme und wechselt recht gut in der Art und Weise, wie er die einzelnen Charaktere darstellt. Wenn er Phoebe's Kindheitsfreund Tom spricht, könnte ich dahinschmelzen. In dieser Stimme wäre auch das Telefonbuch schön. Umso mehr so ein charmanter Roman.

… von meiner geliebten Georgette Heyer, grandios gelesen und sehr real zum Leben erweckt von Matt Addis. Was für eine einprägsame und tolle Stimme! Habe 2 Tage und beinahe eine gesamte Nacht in Sylvesters Welt verbracht und geweint und gelacht! Die Geschichte hat vielleicht ein paar Längen, aber nachdem ich es fertig gehört hatte, würde ich doch kein Wort davon vermissen wollen. Werde dieses Buch sicher nochmals anhören und auch lesen.
