The quest for social justice is a powerful crusade of our time, with an appeal to many different people, for many different reasons. But those who use the same words do not always present the same meanings. Clarifying those meanings is the first step toward finding out what we agree on and disagree on. From there, it is largely a question of what the facts are. Social Justice Fallacies reveals how many things that are thought to be true simply cannot stand up to documented facts, which are often the opposite of what is widely believed.

However attractive the social justice vision, the crucial question is whether the social justice agenda will get us to the fulfillment of that vision. History shows that the social justice agenda has often led in the opposite direction, sometimes with catastrophic consequences.

I really wanted to like this book. I listened to a very interesting and deep interview with the author on Youtube, and thought his book would be worth reading/listening to. Boy was I wrong. The author clearly has a political agenda and presents facts to suit it. I am far from a social justice warrior, in fact I had hoped to get some good facts and arguments to debate with some of the young SJW among my friends and family, but already very early in the book I realised that this book is not suitable for it. In fact, I've begun to not trust the facts and figures the author gives us. He presents correlations as if they are causations where they are often not, or at least not the only causes. All in all, I was looking for a good, balanced and intellectually sound base for arguments, but what I feel this is, is as unhinged extremism on the one side as the SJW are on the other side.

The speaker was annoyingly slow, I had to listen at 1,4 or 1,5 speed to make it sound remotely natural.
