Okay, this story started out fantastic. It‘s my first Helen Scheurer book so I didn’t know what to expect, I‘ve only heard great things. The first half was exquisitely written, great female and male characters, decent world building, and of course romantic tension. But then it’s like the story skipped a few chapters and the relationship progresses way too fast. They are suddenly ready to die for one another. The story progresses quite fast in other aspects as well. It could have been more complex for my taste. Other than that, the voice actors are amazing (Yay Islay!) and I became intrigued by the world this story is set in.
