The Shadow cycle continues to show that OSC is one of the best novalists of our time.
However, the technical realization is atrocious.
It sounds like it was recorded on a 20 year old tape recorder.
Also, the word Hegemon was later re-scored in a bumbling manner.
So often that it's almost laughable again and you wonder all the time what was said before.
Listen to it anyway. The story is worth it.

Die Geschichte ist großartig.
Der Shadow Zyklus zeigt weiter, dass OSC einer der besten Novalisten unserer Zeit ist.
Die technische Umsetzung ist allerdings grauenhaft.
Es klingt, als wäre es mit einem 20 Jahre alten Kassettenrekorder aufgenommen.
Außerdem wurde das Wort Hegemon später in stümperhafter Weise neu vertont.
So häufig, dass es schon fast wieder zum Lachen ist und man sich die ganze Zeit fragt, was da vorher gesagt wurde.
Hört es euch dennoch an. Die Geschichte ist es wert.

Die Geschichte ist durchaus spannend und gut geschrieben. An dieser Stelle gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Die Sprecher sind in Ordnung. Es gibt zwar bessere, aber noch viel mehr schlechtere.
Technik:
Prinzipiell eine sehr gute Aufnahme. Wenn da nur die lausige Nachbearbeitung nicht gewesen wäre. Das hin und wieder etwas nachträglich neu aufgenommen werden muß ist ja schön und gut. Das dies notwendig wird, weil jemand wie es scheint das Wort "Hegemon" nicht korrekt aussprechen konnte ist schon etwas peinlich. Aber die Nachaufnahme hier ist nicht nur von einem anderen Sprecher aufgenommen worden (was schon störend genug ist), sondern klingt auch noch so, als hätte das jemand mal eben schnell in sein Smartphone o.ä. diktiert. Da liefert mein Anrufbeantworter schon eine bessere Qualität. Das Ergebnis ist immer wieder eine unschöne Unterbrechung des Hörgenusses, die man leicht hätte vermeiden können. Glücklicherweise hält sich die Häufigkeit noch halbwegs begrenzt, sonst hätte ich in meiner Gesamtbewertung mehr als 2 Sterne dafür abgezogen...
