You rarely come across such a wonderful, mysterious tale that takes you into its world like this one. Also the romance is so well done in this book, it rather supports the story than anything else. I will listened to this book again and again. Perfect for November days.

Deep, dark, great speaker. I really enjoyed this and think it would make a great movie too. Was not bored at all. Just ordered part 2.

Die Handlung war originell und düster, die Liebesgeschichte ganz nett aber auch nicht so hundert prozentig ergreifend, plätscherte so nebenher. ich fand es auch etwas überfordernd mir die Karten und ihre jeweilige Magie zu merken und habe das ziemlich schnell aufgegeben. Vielleicht wäre es bei einem physischen Buch einfacher gewesen zurückzublättern, aber so war es teilweise schwer zu folgen.
Die Sprecherin war mir persönlich zu viel, einfach eine Spur zu dick aufgetragen in einigen Szenen, sodass es mich komplett aus der Handlung riss. Ihre normale Lesestimme ist angenehm, aber die Charaktere…
