A thousand worlds have opened, and the greatest land-rush in human history has begun. As wave after wave of colonists leave, the power structures of the old solar system begin to buckle.

Ships are disappearing without a trace. Private armies are being secretly formed. The sole remaining protomolecule sample is stolen. Terrorist attacks previously considered impossible bring the inner planets to their knees. The sins of the past are returning to exact a terrible price.

And as a new human order is struggling to be born in blood and fire, James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante must struggle to survive and get back to the only home they have left.©2015 Ty Franck, Daniel Abraham Hard science fiction Opera kosmiczna Przygoda Science fiction

Opinie krytyków

Interplanetary adventure the way it ought to be
As close as you'll get to a Hollywood blockbuster in book form
This is the future the way it's supposed to be
Tense and thrilling
Great characters, excellent dialogue, memorable fight scenes
'High adventure equalling the best space opera has to offer, cutting-edge technology and a group of unforgettable characters . . . Perhaps one of the best tales the genre has yet to produce'

While book 4 had some slower and tamer moments, this book starts intense and doesn't let you breath until the end. And then only because Book 6 is not out yet.

Wow

This is the first book in the series where I found Amazon‘s adaptation to be superior. Corey seems to forget the importance of building suspense before major dramaturgical events are introduced. He concentrates so much on interpersonal relationships that he looses sight of the needs imposed by the larger narrative arc. Some of the most important story beats almost come across as afterthoughts, lacking any semblence of gravitas. A rather puzzling reading experience.

Not as good aus its predecessors
