Nach der Kinderdieb, der mir gut gefallen hatte wollte ich auch Krampus hören. Gab es leider nur in Englisch. Tut dem ganzen aber keinen Abbruch, man versteht es sehr gut. Da hatte ich schon schlimmeres.Sehr gut, wie auch Kinderdieb

The story itself was also good, intriguing, weird, addictive and definitely unique. A mix of Christmas, Norse mythology, European lore, combined with a bloody and murderous bunch of characters and a main character who is just a tad timid worked so much better than I could ever have imagined.
I went into this, expecting an ok read, and instead was in for a real treat!

Die Geschichte ist anders, als die des Kinderdiebs, hier taucht man tiefer in altnordische und frühchristliche Mythologie ein. Das Nachwort ist dabei ein richtiger kleiner Schatz an Informationen zu den Charakteren, die in Krampus eingeflossen sind.
Die Geschichte verlagert dabei einen guten Teil des alten Kampfes zwischen den alten Naturreligionen und dem Christentum in den Streit der beiden Hauptgestalten Santa Claus und Krampus.
Absolut uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

brom schafft es auch hier wieder die grenzen zwischen gut und böse aufzuweichen. schwarz und weiß existieren nicht und so ist einem jede seite beinahe gleich sympathisch und gleichzeitig zuwider.
kirby heyborne gibt der geschichte noch den letzten schliff. seine stimme unterstreicht die düstere stimmung und der wechsel zwischen den charakteren gelingt so mühelos und er wirkt dabei so natürlich, dass man das gefühl hat, hier sprechen vier oder fünf erzähler.
