One voice still reaches the flood zone.

In New York Sector Nine, water is rationed, mercy is monitored, and even letting family sleep on your couch can make you a criminal.

Beneath a ration clinic that used to be Bell Records, Myles Bell keeps an old radio station alive. To the people of Nine, he is Kilo Watt—the voice of WNIN, the last independent signal this side of the Atlantic. Every day, he sends blues, jazz, gospel, and rock through flooded streets, broken apartment windows, shelters, buses, and hospital rooms.

Then a woman calls.

Her brother’s apartment has flooded. She lets him sleep on her couch. The city punishes her for it.

What begins as a complaint becomes something larger: proof that the government is watching acts of kindness, tracking who helps whom, and teaching desperate people to stay alone.

Kilo Watt has a choice.

Kill the signal.

Or tell the truth while the whole city listens.

Kilo Watt is a tense, intimate dystopian novella about resistance, music, surveillance, and the cost of refusing to go silent.
