Dr. Bill Creasy
If Isaiah is the “thundering prophet”, then Jeremiah is the “weeping prophet”. Jeremiah holds the terrible position of being both a priest and a prophet; he represents both the people before God, and God before the people—not unlike a lawyer representing both husband and wife in a contentious and bitter divorce! Join Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy as he follows Jeremiah, the “weeping prophet”, through his many trials and tribulations.

Dr. Bill Creasy of Logos Bible Study uses a literary, historical approach to examine and enliven the bible for modern listeners. Dr. Creasy draws on his studies, travels, and personal anecdotes to depict a vivid picture of the works of scripture. Somewhere between a sermon and a college lecture, he delivers these audiobooks with authority but a pleasantly friendly voice and a touch of fun, using contemporary references.
Dr. Creasy, when describing travelling to the synagogue of Jeremiah in Cairo, talks about Jeremiah’s unenviable dual job of priest and prophet, having to "represent the people before God" and "God before the people". The Book of Jeremiah explains the Jews persecution by the Babylonians as God’s punishment for the worship of false idols.
