Overall it was tough to get through. I didn't enjoy it at all, even though there was some great potential here. It's one of those novels, where the Space Marines felt bland and had no character. The Necron's side was a bit more interesting, but it was still pretty lackluster. This would have been a great opportunity to flesh out the new units and give them substantial lore. We didn't learn much about the Indomitus Crusade either.
