Handlungsmäßig hat dieser Teil der Reihe das Ziel verloren, im Sinne von "es ist für mich nicht wirklich ersichtlich, warum sie sich das alles antun."
Im ersten Teil war die Umstellung und die Eingewöhnung auf die magische Welt spannend. Im 2ten Teil der Ausbau an Möglichkeiten. Jetzt aber handelt der Protagonist weil... keine Ahnung warum > weil die Welt nervt? Er tötet einen Archmage, die mächtigste Instanz eines Hauses, weil dieser arrogant ist? Erst im Nachhinein findet der "Held" Beweise für Massenmord & Co, aber nicht weil er sich angestrengt hat und Detektivarbeit geleistet hat, sondern glücklicherweise ganz nebenbei.
Die Garr sind böse weil inkompetent.
Die Vamps sind böse weil böse.
Magier sind böse weil arrogant UND inkompetent.
Die Fae sind Geschichten/Konzeptgelenkt und dienen nur als böse Turntauben.
