It started with a window that was jammed shut. Pretty simple, right? All I wanted was to open the windows while I tidied the house. I'd been after my no-good husband to do it for months, but he never did. And then he shacked up with his secretary, leaving me with a pile of bills, husband-free for the first time in 10 years, and with a house that was falling apart.

The ad popped up on the side of my social media feed - a local contracting agency willing to do pretty much anything. Since I don't really know a screwdriver from a ratchet, I gave them a call.

And let me tell you, the ad was not lying. Jesse O'Neill can do it all... and looks amazing doing it.

He fixed my window, so I called him back to fix the sagging, splintery front steps. Which led to him fixing my kitchen sink. And then he recarpeted my stairs. And then fixed the squeak in my bed.

He was supposed to fix my house, not my rusty, sputtering libido. And certainly not my broken heart.

I like Jasimda Wilder - interesting, more real-life oriented blue collar characters (no billionaire crap here) although they're almost always "above average" - with angst and great humour. Great narration. I look forward to the next one.

Yes, that’s again a perfect Jasinda Wilder romance with all I need and love - crackling attraction, really hot moments, setbacks, escape from oneself, fear of happiness and an emotional depth and tension through and through, oh and delicious, hot interaction with creativity and passion.
Snuggle down, treat yourself to a few stimulants and enjoy...

I'm glad this craftsman company has 4 talented craftsmen - off to the next assignment ...

so the couple was super cute, i could also tell the author was establishing a cast for the next couple books, none of them were at all developed imo, thee story felt rushed and there qas a lot of unnecessary minor drama, some bit also were unrealistic but in a way im sure many people appreciate, and i would too, were there not so many issues to me.

the last half felt rushed and shallow, id stopped feeling like a story you experience first hand and turned into something your friend tells you about.

All of this sounds harsh, but i still enjoyed the book, even tho i had to bite my way through it at times, I think ill still check out the next book bc this was still fun. If this review scared you of but you like the theme, id reccomend marie harte's veteran movers series, but if you like that youre probably gonna enjoy this book as well
