Now a major Lifetime movie event—the classic story of the Casteel family saga continues with this third installment. Proud and beautiful, Heaven came back to the hills—to rise at last above her family’s shame.

As Logan’s bride, Heaven would savor now the love she had sought for so long. And free from her father’s clutches, she would live again in her backwoods town, a respected teacher and cherished wife. But after a wedding trip to Boston’s Farthinggale Manor and a lavish, elegant party, Heaven and Logan are persuaded to stay…lured by Tony Tatterton’s guile to live amidst the Tatterton wealth and privilege. Then the ghosts of Heaven’s past rise up once more, writhing around her fragile happiness…threatening her precious love with scandal and jealousy, sinister passions, and dangerous dreams. This is the first book the ghostwriter has written, using the notes of VCA after her death. There are parts which show that Mr. Niederman was just beginning his ghostwriting, yes the poetic language of VCA is missing, and the beginning of the book is annoying but the last third is OMGAH HOLD ONTO YOUR HAT! Full on southern gothic melodrama! I couldn’t stop listening I had to know how all of the conflict will unfold! Candace Thaxton does a brilliant job again, voicing everyone amazingly! I am sad that the next books will not be narrated by her, but the other books are written from the POV of other characters. If you love the Casteel series, don’t let this book being ghostwritten keep you away!
