Edgar Allan Poe was one of the most prolific authors of his time, eventually gaining recognition for his tales of horror and his uncanny ability to paint a macabre picture with words.

The Complete Works Collection of Edgar Allan Poe contains over 150 stories and poems, separated into individual chapters, including all of Poe's most notorious works such as The Raven, Annabel Lee, A Dream Within a Dream, Lenore, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Unparalleled Adventures of One Hans Pfaal, The Murders in the Rue Morgue, and many more.

To be fair, I have not listened to the whole audiobook and while I am sure it is good overall, I don‘t think the voice of the speaker really suits Poe‘s work, which irritated me quite much. However the most annoying thing is that the chapers on the app are numbered instead of saying which story it is. For a collection this is quite impossible to handle. If I want to listen to William Wilson, I have to click through all of the chapters one by one or I have to get my laptop to go on the audible website to access a pdf where it tells me which chapter it is. Especially as this is an audible exclusive I just think this should be an easy fix. Until then I do believe that this audio book is quite useless.

It was confusing. Maybe add titles to chapters? Or do use more than one reader.

I don’t know who had the idea to choose this speaker. He’d be a great choice for something such as Wallace&Gromit, but surely not Edgar Allan Poe

Some of Poes stories and poems are really awesome, but some are, well, just weird. One or two are much alike. I enjoyed about half of the works, the other half was rather tiresome.
The narrator is alright and a table of contents was added.
