Und ich bin überrascht, da ich eine solche Story nicht von Samantha Young erwartet hätte, da ich bisher eher die Edinburgh-Reihe und einige Fantasy-Romane von ihr kannte, welche ich ebenfalls absolut klasse fand, da sie genau das beinhalten, was ich gerne höre. Abgesehen davon hab ich bei ihr nie das Gefühl, ihre Bücher seien "gewollt und nicht gekonnt" geschrieben, wenn ihr wisst, was ich meine.
Aber ich schweife ab... Inhaltlich ist dieses Buch deutlich anders, intensiver, erschütternder als alles, was ich bisher von ihr gehört habe, was natürlich auch an den unglaublichen Sprechern liegen könnte, aber grade deshalb bin ich vielleicht so geflasht.
Beginnend mit einer sehr süßen Liebesgeschichte entwickelt sich der Roman durch einige dramatische Ereignisse langsam in eine Art Romantic-Crime, die ich wie gesagt nicht von der Autorin erwartet hätte, die sie jedoch meiner Meinung nach ganz klasse geschrieben hat.
Eine Triggerwarnung wäre vielleicht angemessen gewesen, aber das ist auch schon alles, was ich anprangern könnte.
Von mir eine absolute Lese-/Hörempfehlung!!!
