Ein Buch, das ich als spannend, emotional und auch sachlich empfinde. Der Autor beschreibt seinen spannenden (Ex)-Job bzw. seine Berufung, die Charaktere der einzelnen Orcas, mit denen er gearbeitet hat. Er berichtet über diverse Erlebnisse, die teilweise gerade noch gut ausgegangen sind, und er geht auch auf die Begebenheiten ein, die leider tödlich geendet haben. Auch wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse über die natürliche Lebensweise der Orcas fließen ein - und über die Probleme der unnatürlichen Lebensweise der Tiere in Gefangenschaft, sowohl für die Wale wie auch für die Menschen, die mit ihnen zu tun haben.Der Autor und Sprecher konnte seine Liebe zu diesen Tieren und den Konflikt, ihnen in Gefangenschaft nicht gerecht werden zu können, wie auch den Konflikt mit seinem wirtschaftlich orientierten Arbeitgeber sehr authentisch rüberbringen.
