Britain, 2030. The Home Secretary is informed that America’s NSA has a mole. Someone is leaking military secrets to the Chinese.
The Pentagon has just finished upgrading the security encryptions on all its military and weapons systems for the quantum computing age using a bespoke artificial intelligence model created by the NSA. But the AI left flaws in the security – backdoors in the code. The entire US military is now compromised, and these backdoors are being leaked to a foreign government.
Unable to fully trust their own because of the mole, the NSA turns to Britain, and GCHQ, for help correcting their mistake and to track down the turncoat.
