With Fran Knee-Wright:I’m Fran, a birth and postpartum doula, founder of Rose + Nettle, mum of two, and very new home-edding parent. After almost a decade in PR and marketing, a cancer diagnosis six months after the birth of my second son prompted a fairly major rethink of what I wanted work, family life and motherhood to look like. I retrained as a doula and now support families through birth and postpartum, with a particular passion for helping parents plan not just to survive those early weeks, but to genuinely thrive. In September 2026, I began home educating my five-year-old son, adding phonics-game-inventor to the mix of running a business, freelance work and raising two small children.
