Episode Title: S1E2: "Lisa’s First Day on the Farm" (with Special Guests from the Shady Rest!)
Episode Description:
Well, throw out that Park Avenue wardrobe and grab a feather duster—Lisa Douglas has officially arrived at the farm, and Aunt Ro was right all along!
In this episode of Oh, for the Love of Green Acres Tribute, hosts Paul and Rick break down Season 1, Episode 2, "Lisa’s First Day on the Farm." Lisa is coming face-to-face with peeling wallpaper, uninvited livestock, and the harsh realities of rural living, but the real treat is another crossover visit from Hooterville royalty: the incomparable Bea Benaderet (Kate Bradley) and Edgar Buchanan (Uncle Joe Carson)!
Join Paul and Rick as they take a deep dive into:

• The Brilliant Bea Benaderet: From her legendary voice work in Golden Age radio (The Jack Benny Program, Fibber McGee and Molly) and voicing Betty Rubble on The Flintstones, to playing Cousin Pearl Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies.
• Building a Show Around a Star: How series mastermind Paul Henning was so captivated by Bea's talent that he created Petticoat Junction specifically as a vehicle for her.
• The True Origins of Petticoat Junction: The real-life inspiration behind the Shady Rest Hotel, born from Ruth Henning reminiscing about her family owning a hotel near the railroad tracks in Eldon, Missouri.
• Uncle Joe Being Uncle Joe: Edgar Buchanan back in action, dishing out "help" that usually creates twice the work.
• Scene Breakdowns & Laughs: Oliver’s blind agrarian optimism versus Lisa’s glamorous bewilderment as the farm house makes its hilarious first impression.

Grab a cup of coffee (just don't let Lisa make the hotscakes), sit back on the porch, and join us in Hooterville!
